Bishnupur, May 09 2026: The sacred procession of Ibudhou Thangjing Moirang known as Lai Khong Chingba was carried out at Moirang Kangjeibung Lampak today.

The procession is an important element of the Ibudhou Thangjing Haraoba festival which kicked off on April 19 this year.

As part of the procession which started off from Ibudhou Thangjing Laikol, chariots of the nine forest deities (Umang Lai) and seven celestial maidens (Lai Nura Taret) were brought to Moirang Kangjeibung Lampak by local youths.

This was followed by the performance of religious rituals, after which the dieties were collectively returned to Ibudhou Thagnjing Laikol.
