Imphal, September 04 2026: Chief Minister Y Khemchand has condemned the grenade attack on the residence of K Meghachandra Singh, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader and MLA of Wangkhem Assembly Constituency, which occurred last evening at Yairipok Bishnunaha, Thoubal.

In a post on social media, the Chief Minister said that such acts of violence against elected representatives are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

He also said that he has directed the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice at the earliest.
