Imphal, May 04 2025: Unknown persons suspected to be members of an underground outfit planted a hand grenade in front of the Princeton International School gate at Kshetri Awang Leikai, under Porompat police station, Imphal East this morning.

Sources said locals of the area came across the explosive, and informed the police.

After receiving information, a team of Porompat police station rushed to the spot.

Later, a State bomb expert team recovered the explosive from the spot and detonated it safely at Awa Ching at around 8 am.

Porompat police have registered a case for investigation.
