Imphal, September 02 2025: In an apparent move to promote the use of Hindi in formal communications, the Registrar of Manipur University Professor M Premjit has ordered all sections and departments of MU to use Hindi in official noting and drafting.

The order informed that quarterly inspections will be conducted to review the usage of Hindi in the aforementioned sections and departments.

It is worth noting that the order was issued as per a decision taken during a meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee held on August 8, 2025 .
