SEA conducts cleanliness drive at Senapati DHQ

Senapati, October 27 2025:
In a concerted effort to promote a cleaner and healthier environment, the Senapati Entrepreneurs Association (SEA)carriedoutamajor social work initiative at the Senapati District Headquarters (DHQ) town on Saturday.
The drive focused on clearing thick dust piles that had accumulated along the foot of road dividers in the main bazaar area.
The piled-up dust had long been a cause of concern, contributing to the dusty atmosphere in the market, especially when heavy vehicles passed through.
The situation had been affecting both pedestrians and local shopkeepers.
Members of the Senapati Entrepreneurs Association, joined by street food vendors and local shopkeepers, actively took part in the cleanup.
Their collective efforts brought a visible improvement to the cleanliness and overall appearance of the main market area.
The Karong-Senapati Town Committee extended full cooperation by deploying garbage collection trucks and helpers to remove and transport the waste.
Adarhii Maheo, CEO of ADC Senapati, also visited the site, interacted with the volunteers, and lauded their commendable community effort.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives from SEA expressed gratitude to all participants and the Town Committee for their timely support.
"Maintaining our town's cleanliness is a shared responsibility," Shylock S Taishya, president of SEA said.
He added that the initiative is a small but significant step toward creating a cleaner, more pleasant Senapati for everyone.
SEA further encouraged shopkeepers and business owners to continue maintaining cleanliness around their premises.
The Association reaffirmed its commitment to organizing more community-driven cleanliness activities in the future.
