Imphal, September 22 2025: A teenage boy of 19 and an adult man of 61 were found hanging at Kakching and Moirang respectively.

The teen identified as Anish Sheikh was found hanging at Basic Ground, under Kakching police station today.

Hemam Kumar was found hanging from a tree at Moirang Okshongbung Meikhambi Maril paddy field yesterday evening.

Anish Sheikh was the son of Md Rahaman of Khelakhong Mamang Leikai.

He reportedly went out of his home at around 4 pm yesterday and didn't return home last night.

Locals came across the body at the Basic Ground near Kakching police station at noon today.

He was found hanging by a Khudei.

The police and forensic team arrived on the spot and carried out an inquest of the dead, and the body was taken to JNIMS Morgue for postmortem.

Kakching police have registered a case for investigation.

On the other hand, Hemam Kumar was a resident of Okshongbung Mandap Maning.

He was found hanging from a tree at Okshongbung Meikhambi Maril paddy field by locals, who informed the Moirang police.

The police recovered the body and was taken to RIMS Morgue for postmortem.

Family members have claimed the body today after the postmortem.
