Imphal, May 21 2026: Dr Nimai-chand Luwang who was elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly several times from Wangkhem Assembly segment and even served as a Minister has joined BJP once again.

Earlier, he was with Manipur People's Party (MPP), Indian National Congress, BJP and Janata Dal (United) .

BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sarda Devi, Chief Minister Y Khemchand and Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam accorded a warm welcome to Dr Nimaichand Luwang today as he joined the saffron party once again.

A Sarda welcomed Dr Nimaichand and his son Gokul Luwang by presenting them the party's scarves.

Dr Nimaichand said that he re-joined BJP as he can foresee that the BJP Government will do something good for the people.
