Imphal, October 13 2025: In a spine chilling incident, a woman Physiotherapist was murdered by some unidentified men inside her home at Yaiskul Chingakham Leirak this afternoon.

According to information culled from the spot, Angom Ningol Asem Ongbi Rita (67) was found wounded on the second floor of their house by her husband and son at around 4.30 pm .

Rita earlier served as a Physiotherapist at RIMS .

Even though Rita was immediately rushed to Raj Medicity, the doctors said that she was brought dead.

It is suspected that the fatal attack occurred when Rita's husband Asem Muhindro and her son Asem Rahul (25) were away.

The victim bore fatal injuries on the head made by a heavy object.

A team of Imphal West district police and Forensic Science experts came to the spot and made an inquest.

While body has been deposited at RIMS mortuary, a case has been registered at Imphal police station.

Meira Paibis have strongly condemned the murder and demanded the authorities to book the culprits.
