Imphal, August 13 2025:
The National Medico Organisation (NMO) Manipur and Seva Bharati Manipur jointly organised the Bir Tikendrajit Shradhanjali Swasthya Seva Yatra (Health Service Campaign in Memory of Bir Tikendrajit) at Keirao Bitra Awang Leikai Community Hall, Imphal East today as part of the year-long celebration of Bir Tikendrajit's martyrdom.
The Bir Tikendrajit Shradhanjali Swasthya Seva Yatra is part of an ongoing series of medical camps being conducted across Manipur by NMO Manipur, SevaBharati, and other local clubs andNGOs every month for the past four years, according to a statement.
The camp at Keirao Bitra provided free medical consultations, basic and advanced investigation facilities, minor dental procedures, and free medicines to around 200 local residents.
A team of doctors, super specialists, and support staff from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) attended the camp, assisted by volunteers from NMO Manipur and Seva Bharati Manipur.
It may be recalled that under the same initiative, a mega health camp was organised on July 27, 2025, at Bhaskara Bhabha near Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal West by NMO Manipur, Seva Bharati Manipur, and Manipur Seva Samiti, benefiting hundreds of people from nearby villages.
The initiative aims to provide free access to quality healthcare for economically disadvantaged and underserved communities, particularly in rural and remote areas.
