Imphal, August 12 2025:
On the occasion of the 21st raising day of the Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL), the proscribed KCP has raised a number of questions.
"Why should we spoil the faith reposed by the past generations to the future generations? "Why should we live as slaves even after the British empire returned the independence of Manipur on August 14, 1947 ? How degenerated is Manipur's situation after Manipur was forcibly merged into the Indian Union on October 15, 1949?", asked KCP Military Affairs Committee in a statement.
Alleging that the Government of India has been funding and providing logistics to the Kukis to wage a proxy war against the indigenous people of the land, the outfit asked how the future of the indigenous people will unfold.
Further asking why he indigenous people should remain silent, the outfit asserted that the revolutionary movement must go on with different strategies until its goal is achieved.
Noting that August 13 is a red letter day for Manipur where people pay homage to the heroes and martyrs of Anglo-Manipur War 1891 like Koireng Yubaraj and Thangal General, the outfit said that MFL was set up on August 13, 2004 .
It was not any coincidence that MFL was set up on August 13.The particular date was chosen with a firm conviction to carry on the legacy of those martyrs and wage a war of liberation, the outfit said.
Offering rich tributes and highest respect to all the martyrs of the Anglo-Manipur War 1891 as well as those people who were martyred in the course of the sustained liberation movement and the ongoing proxy war being waged by India, the Military Affairs Committee expressed solidarity with all those people maimed for life due to torture by the enemies, those languishing in prisons and all the internally displaced persons.
It also conveyed warm greetings to all the CSOs, Meira Paibi organisations, intellectuals, media persons, health workers, artistes, sports persons, students, workers and farmers.
It further conveyed best wishes to all fellow revolutionary organisations of Manipur/Kangleipak.
