Imphal, September 11 2026: The Indian Society of Nephrology East Zone Conference (ISNEZCON-2026) was inaugurated today at Imphal Hotel, North AOC, Imphal.

The conference, launched under the theme "Kidney Health for AIl : Equitable and Sustainable Nephrology", will continue till September 13 .

Dr Thangjam Dhabali Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of Babina Group, Imphal; Dr Pankaj Hans, president of the Indian Society of Nephrology East Zone; and RIMS Director Professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma attended the inaugural session.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Thangjam Dhabali Singh emphasised that ensuring affordable and accessible kidney care requires collective efforts, and expressed hope that the conference would strengthen collaboration, promote innovation, and contribute meaningfully to better kidney health and sustainable healthcare for all.

The conference show-cased the latest case studies, clinical practices, research findings and emerging developments in nephrology and renal medicine.

Resource persons from across the country delivered scientific lectures and shared their expertise.

Around 400-500 delegates, including nephrologists, physicians and healthcare professionals from the eastern region and other parts of the country are participating in the conference.

Centered on "Kidney Health for All," the conference stresses accessible, quality kidney care and sustainable approaches to addressing the growing challenges of kidney diseases.

The ISNEZCON-2026 is expected to provide an important platform for professional interaction, knowledge exchange and academic collaboration, while facilitating discussions on emerging challenges, advances and opportunities in kidney healthcare in the eastern region and beyond, said RIMS Imphal in a statement.

The conference is being organised by the Manipur Nephrology Forum in collaboration with the Indian Society of Nephrology-East Zone, with the Department of Nephrology, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal.
