Workshop on "Basics of Application Development" held

A two-day workshop on "Basics of Application Development" was conducted on May 4 and 5 at the Innovation Hub, Manipur Science Centre, Takyelpat, Imphal West.
According to a press release, the programme was organized under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology, Manipur.
The initiative aimed to introduce young learners to the fundamentals of application development, fostering innovation, creativity and technical skills amongst students at an early stage.
The workshop witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 42 students representing various schools from different districts of Manipur.
At the event, Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, Secretary, (Science and Technology) emphasized the importance of nurturing technical skills amongst students and encouraged them to explore opportunities in the field of application development and innovation.
During the programme, participants were provided with hands-on exposure to basic concepts of app development, including interface design, logic building, and practical implementation.
Resource persons and mentors guided the students through interactive sessions, enabling them to gain valuable insights into the rapidly evolving field of technology.
As a mark of encouragement, three best teams who made an effort to develop Mobile based Apps were given an opportunity to explain the apps developed, the idea behind it and the probable benefits it may provide once fully developed.
Certificates were distributed to all participants in recognition of their active involvement and successful completion of the workshop during the closing function.
