Imphal, September 01 2025: As a mark of recognition for his service during Operation Sindoor, the Government of Manipur has announced an award of Rs 10 lakh to Rizwan Malik, Vir Chakra awardee and Squadron Leader of the Indian Air Force.

In this connection, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla felicitated the Squadron Leader at Raj Bhavan today, according to a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat.

The latter was accompanied by his family members during the courtesy call at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, Governor Bhalla lauded his exemplary courage and dedication, stating that his valorous service stands as an inspiration for the youth and a matter of pride for the entire nation.

Squadron Leader Rizwan Malik expressed gratitude to the Governor and the people of Manipur for the honour and recognition.

According to the release, the State Government has also reiterated its commitment to supporting and celebrating the bravery of the Nation's armed forces personnel.
