Ruling MLAs discuss current situation

Imphal, November 05 2019:
For the second consecutive day, Ministers and MLAs of the BJP-led coalition Govern-ment held a meeting today and discussed the situation arising out of the terms of agreement reached between the Centre, NSCN (IM) and NNPGs on October 31 .
The meeting, which was presided by Chief Minister N Biren, began from 5 pm in the evening, resolved to oppose any solution which provides for a pan Naga flag backed by the Indian Constitution and formation of territorial council on ethnic lines.
It was also resolved that the ruling legislators will go the Delhi and let the Central leaders know about the resolutions adopted today.
The meeting further resolved that the legislators will suggest Central leaders on acceptable solutions and pressure Central leaders against including any provision in the Naga Accord which would impinge upon the interests of Manipur.
It was also resolved to re-send the resolution adopted by the State Assembly in the past to oppose any act which will affect the integrity of Manipur, to the Government of India.
