JNIMS stir suspended

The Resident Doctors' Association, JNIMS has resolved to suspend their ongoing strike after obtaining an undertaking following a positive discussion between RDA representatives and Secretary to Governor in the presence of Joint Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Director, JNIMS and Dean (Academics), JNIMS.
As per a press release issued by RDA, JNIMS, the Government is actively considering the proposal with regard to RDA's demand to roll-back the current fee regime for PG students to the old fee regime from the October 2022 batch.
The Government's decision will be notified soon, it added.
During the discussion, it was also agreed that fee realization and last date of fee submission will be notified based on the decision of the Government.
With the suspension of the strike, resident doctors will resume their duties immediately.
However, if the notification announcing the rollback of the new fee structure is not issued within 4 weeks, the Association will decide on further course of action.
