Imphal, April 24 2025: The Publicity and Information Bureau (PIB) of the NSCN (IM) has issued a statement denying any involvement in the arson of at least 28 houses at Gampal and Haijang village under Kamjong district yesterday morning.

Expressing grave concern over the spate of violence in Manipur which has been gradually expanding towards the eastern side of the State, a press release issued by the PIB of NSCN (IM) lamented the act of arson committed by some unknown miscreants upon the denizens of the two villages.

Refuting involvement in the matter, the outfit also strongly condemned the "wild speculations circulating in social media, suspecting the hand of NSCN" in the incident.

It has further advised all concerned not to be carried away by such malicious disinformation while adding that the conspiracy surrounding the incident will be exposed sooner or later.

Expressing belief in the high ideals of truth, justice and peace, the PIB of NSCN (IM) said that it will "continue to work for the welfare and security of all communities living in Nagalim without any prejudices" .
