Imphal, October 20 2025: Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Satyabrata has greeted the people on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of light.

The Speaker, in his message, stated that Diwali is a symbol of the triumph of light over darkness and of unity over division.

"May the radiance from our homes guide us towards healing, reconciliation and mutual understanding.

Let this be a moment of introspection, a time to renew the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that define our shared identity.

Mayang Imphal AC MLA K Robindro also conveyed his greetings on the occasion of Diwali and Ningol Chakkouba.

He prayed for the Diwali festival to bring light, hope and happiness into every home and heart.

He, on the other hand, said that Ningol Chakkouba celebrates the bond of love and togetherness between brothers and sisters.

"As we celebrate these two beautiful festivals , let us reaffirm our commitment to unity, peace and mutual respect among all sections of society," he prayed.

Shiv Sena Manipur Pradesh also extended Diwali greetings to all.

The Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA), United People's Front (UPF), Manipur and the Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN), have also conveyed their greetings for the upcoming Ningol Chakkouba festival and appealed to the people to celebrate the festival of familial bonds in its true essence, without competing in gift-giving.
