Imphal, April 20: Manipuri version of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's poetry compilation "The Life Tree" translated by SP (CID) Dr Ibocha Soibam has been released today at Imphal office of Writers' Forum by the Forum's president IS Kangjam.

Noted author BS Ramkumar elaborated on the Manipuri version of the book entitled "Punshi Pamel".

Meanwhile, a book entitled "Gandhigee Mityengdagee' penned by Moirangthem Surjit was released at a simple function held at the Manipur Press Club today.

The book release programme was graced by Jyotishbhusan of Govindajee Temple Board (Manipur) B Rajendra Sharma and Manipur Sahitya Parishad's president B Jayantakumar Sharma as the chief guest and president respectively.

Jiribam: The Jananeta Irabot Memorial Trust, Jiribam has released a book titled Meekap Thokpa in a function held at LB Leikai, Jiri today, reports our correspondent.
