Missing case of Kadir: Three held

Imphal, June 16 2025: In connection with the missing case of Chesam Abdul Kadir, three persons have been arrested and taken to police custody till June 21.The three accused arrested have been identified as Huidrom Somokanta, Huidrom Dipak Singh and Thingujam Ranjit Singh.

They were arrested by the Wangoi police yesterday from Thiyam Leisangkhong under Wangoi police station yesterday.

After their arrest, they were produced before the Duty Magistrate Imphal West, which remanded them to police custody.

Notably, Chesam Abdul Kadir, of Paobitek Mayai Leikai, went missing from Yumnam Huidrom Makha Leikai on June 10 afternoon, and Wangoi police had registered a case for investigation.

Accused Huidrom Somokanta and Thingujam Ranjit Singh hail from Yumnam Huidrom Khunyai, and Huidrom Dipak Singh hails from Yumnam Huidrom Makha Leikai.

Meanwhile, the Disabled Development Association Manipur (DDAM) has urged the authorities concerned to trace the whereabouts of Chesam Abdul Kadir, and punish culprits involved in the missing case.

The Disabled Development Association Manipur (DD AM) fully supports the Joint Action Committee that has been formed in connection with the missing case, it added.
