Nagas in Cambodia come together

Imphal, April 16 2026:
The Nagas in Cambodia (NACAM) held its 20th Annual Meet from April 12 to 14 at the Cambodia Country Club in Phnom Penh.
The gathering brought together members of the Naga community from across various provinces during the Khmer New Year.
Out of approximately 100 registered members, 43 adults including missionaries and young adults and 14 children participated in this year's three-day retreat which featured a variety of activities, according to a statement.
Participants enjoyed home-cooked meals and BBQ fellowship, fostering a warm and communal environment.
A fellowship service on the second day was led by Besty Panmei, followed by the observance of the Lord's Supper conducted by Rev Gihuka Swu.
A business session was also convened, during which new leaders for the 2026-2028 term were elected - Theophilus Gangmei as the president, John Khing as vice president, Kekhriese Kennao as secretary and Giang Gonmei as treasurer.
One of the highlights of the event was the Fun Night held on the final day, featuring a provincial choir competition, talent show, bible character fashion show for children, and interactive icebreaker games.
Rev Gihuka Swu, a pioneer among the Nagas in Cambodia, urged all Nagas living in Cambodia to actively attend the annual meet and emphasized the importance of NACAM and how it has been a source of encouragement and unity for many individuals.
