Aaryaman makes history for Manipur in shooting championship

Imphal, October 11 2025: Aaryaman Lairenjam has brought immense pride to Manipur by winning the bronze medal in the senior men's skeet event at the 34th All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship (Shotgun), Patiala, Punjab.

Competing in one of India's most prestigious National shooting events, Aaryaman displayed remarkable poise and consistency, scoring 19 in the first round and 21 in the second round, to amass a total of 40 points.

His performance marked a historic milestone for Manipur, being one of the rare podium finishes for the State in the senior men's skeet category.

M Rachandra Singh, president of Manipur Rifle Association, congratulated Aaryaman and lauded his performance.

"Aaryaman has created history for the State of Manipur by earning a podium finish in the senior men's skeet event.

It is a rare and remarkable accomplishment that will inspire the next generation of shooters," Rachandra said.

The shooting championship was held from October 3 to 10 .
