CONRAD 2025 held at RIMS

The 3rd Annual Conference of Manipur Radiological Society - CONRAD 2025 was held today at Banting Hall, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, under the inspiring theme, "Imaging the Precision, Healing with Purpose".
The inaugural ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, MLA.
Konthoujam AC; Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, Imphal; Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS, Imphal; Prof S Subashchandra Singh, Organising Chairman, CONRAD 2025 and president, Manipur Radiological Society; and Dr N Thomson Luwang, secretary, Manipur Radiological Society.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sapam Ranjan reflected on the evolution of radiology, noting that AI has enhanced rather than replaced radiologists.
He highlighted AI's major advances and the vital role of interventional radiology in disease management.
Calling the theme "Imaging with Precision and Healing with Purpose" apt, he urged unity among medical professionals.
Prof G Sunil Kumar commended the theme for reflecting radiology's fusion of technology and compassion.
He noted RIMS's advancements in diagnostic equipment, upcoming interventional radiology facilities, and efforts to strengthen AI and teleradiology despite manpower challenges.
The conference served as an important platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences, reinforcing the Society's commitment to advancing the standards of radiology practice in the region.
The Manipur Radiological Society expressed gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and supporting institutions for their valuable contributions toward making CONRAD 2025 a resounding success.
