NSUI holds meet under "Hum Badlenge" initiative

The National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Manipur, today held a significant meeting as part of the ongoing "Hum Badlenge" initiative, aimed at empowering student voices and shaping the future of the nation through proactive youth leadership.
The meeting held at Congress Bhawan, Imphal was graced by prominent personalities, including S Jeeten Singh, general secretary, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC); S Shyamcharan Singh (Advocate), chairman, Legal Cell, MPCC; P Bankimchandra Meitei, secretary, MPCC and in-charge of NSUI; Wahengbam Anand Singh, president, MPYCC; Joyson Khoho, president, NSUI Manipur; Rapanlung Kamei, vice president, NSUI Manipur; and Mohsin Khan, national secretary and in-charge of NSUI Manipur.
As per a release issued by NSUI, the session focused on reaffirming the commitment of NSUI towards protecting students' rights, promoting political awareness among the youth, and nurturing the next generation of leaders for nation-building.
A key highlight of the discussion was a collective concern raised on the implications of the New Education Policy (NEP).
The participants emphasized the need for critical engagement and student-led dialogue around the policy, underscoring its long-term impact on equitable access to quality education.
Speakers also strongly criticized the massive failure in the education system witnessed over the past few years under the BJP Government.
The gathering reaffirmed that NSUI Manipur would continue to raise its voice against these injustices and work towards reviving and reforming the education system to ensure fairness and inclusivity.
The meeting concluded with a call to action for all student communities to remain vigilant, united, and constructive in raising their voices through democratic means, ensuring that education remains a tool for empowerment and social justice.
