Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Th Satyabrata has stated that peace will prevail in Manipur soon.
He made the statement at the 12th foundation day of his working committee held at Yaiskul Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai today.
Addressing the function as chief guest, Satyabrata, who is also the MLA of Yaiskul AC, stated that the prolonged delay in resolving the crisis in Manipur has taken a heavy toll on the people.
Nevertheless, he expressed confidence that the Government will resolve the crisis and guide Manipur towards development.
"Every crisis has to come to an end," the Speaker said as he advocated for peace.
Stating that the Government has been working step by step to resolve the crisis in Manipur, he reiterated that peace will soon prevail in the State.
Conveying his wishes for Emoinu Eratapa Numit, he prayed for peace to prevail in Manipur.
Satyabrata, meanwhile, said that new schemes and policies will soon be launched to support the poor families of Yaiskul Constituency in their education, as well as to promote sportspersons and artists from the Constituency.
He added that he will also support the unemployed youth in his Constituency by helping them find sources of livelihood.
Efforts will also be made to prevent frequent flooding in Yaiskul, he said, adding that two large pumps will be installed at Takhel Canal and near Ch Iboyaima School to drain excess water during the rainy season.
Mayang Imphal AC MLA K Robindro also attended the programme.
He stated that guiding the younger generations in the right direction is essential to take Manipur to greater heights.
The MLA also emphasized that a collective effort from all the people is required to restore normalcy in the State.
Keirao AC MLA L Rameshwor Meetei and Kshetrigao AC MLA Sheikh Norrul Hassan, on the other hand, stated that the role being played by Satyabrata to restore normalcy in Manipur is immense.
