Sanatan Sammelan to be held today

Imphal, May 24 2025: Sanatan Sammelan 2025 would be held on May 25, 2025 at MSFDS auditorium, Palace Compound and it would be graced by His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Amritananda Devtirth Maharaj of Shrimad Sharda Sarvagya Pitham, Jammu and Kashmir.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Amritananda Devtirth arrived here today on a four-day visit to the State.

As he landed at Imphal airport, he was accorded a warm reception by members of KRC Foundation, Barak Manipur Friendship Association and Meitei Leepun.

Apart from Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Amritananda Devtirth, the Sanatan Sammelan would be attended by many prominent leaders of Viswa Hindu Parishad and Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Amritananda Devtirth will open a Pranth office of Shrimad Sharda Sarvagya Pitham at Thangmeiband.

He would pay a visit to INA Memorial, Moirang and interact with IDPs at some selected relief camps on May 26 and added that a situation of violence and unrest has been besieging Manipur for quite a long time.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Amritananda Devtirth said that he came to Manipur with a message of peace and peaceful coexistence among all the communities of the State.

The President's Rule being imposed in Manipur is an initiative of the Government of India to bring peace and normalcy in the State, he said.

He exuded confidence that a popular Government would be installed in the State once normalcy is restored.
