Imphal, July 16 2025: City police station in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, organised a first aid awareness programme at Khwairamband Keithel on Tuesday morning with the objective of training police personnel in providing immediate assistance in emergency situation before hospitalisation.

The programme conducted from 9 am under the theme "First Aid of Different Casualties" was aimed at making the police personnel acquainted with basic life-saving skills necessary for handling emergency situations at the scene of an incident.

According to the organisers, the training was designed to help police personnel respond effectively during accidents' or medical emergencies by administering first aid before the arrival of medical professionals.

Officials of both City police station and Red Cross Society, emphasised the importance of first aid knowledge for front-line responders, especially in.

times of unrest, natural disasters, or road mishaps.
