Imphal, August 12 2025:
Assam Rifles conducted a career awareness campaign at Nambashi High School in Kamjong district on Tuesday to celebrate International Youth Day and stated objective to guide the local students towards informed and aspirational career choices.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the initiative was part of Assam Rifles' sustained efforts to foster educational awareness and skill development among youth in remote regions.
Participants, including students and faculty members, attended the interactive session-that focused on career pathways, scholarship opportunities, and educational schemes - particularly those offered by the Indian armed forces.
The session was designed to be engaging and informative, encouraging students to explore diverse career options and understand the value of structured planning for their future, the PRO added.
The International Youth Day was also celebrated with much fanfare and inclusive ness by the Indian Army in Assam, Manipur and Tripura, to spread the message that the true strength of India lies not in the weapons it wields, but in the courage, dreams, and determination of its youth.
In Manipur, the celebration was held at Khurkhul Model Standard High School, fostering dialogue, awareness and engagement among students on the evolving role of youth in the digital era.
The programme included a debate on the topic "GEN Z in the Digital Age: Masters or Prisoners of Technology " with three participants each speaking for and against the motion.
A special outreach programme titled "A Day with Company Commander" under the theme 'Join Indian Army' was also held in Churachandpur district, bringing together students from Maa Foundation School, Phoenix School, and Living Water High School along with youth representatives from various NGOs in Churachandpur.
