AR organises special medical consultation prog

Imphal, August 12 2025: Assam Rifles organised a special medical consultation programme for its personnel and families, featuring Ayurveda and Siddha medicine practitioner Dr K Vasu at the Assam Rifles Garrison, Laitkor, Shillong on August 11 and 12, offering holistic healthcare guidance rooted in India's ancient medical heritage.

According to PRO IGAR (S), Dr K Vasu, a highly respected figure in the field of traditional medicine, is renowned for integrating Ayurvedic wisdom and Siddha practices to promote preventive healthcare, lifestyle management and natural healing.

During his visit, he provided personalised consultations, dietary advice and treatment recommendations tailored to the individual needs of the attendees.

Over the course of the two days, Dr Vasu attended to over 200 patients including serving personnel, veterans and family members.

His approach emphasised not only addressing existing ailments but also guiding individuals towards long-term wellness through natural remedies, yoga, meditation and lifestyle modifications, the PRO added.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Vasu expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the Assam Rifles community.

"The brave men and women of Assam Rifles dedicate their lives to protecting the nation.

It is an honour to contribute to their well-being by sharing the time-tested benefits of Ayurveda and Siddha medicine," he stated.
