Noney, July 16 2025: Noney District Health Society and District Family Welfare Services jointly organised district level observance of World Population Day (WPD) under the theme 'Healthy timing & spacing between pregnancies for planned parenthood' at the Khoupum Primary Health Centre, on Tuesday.

The programme was attended by Noney CMO/mission director Dr Azin Maringmei as chief guest; DIO/DNO (family planning) Dr Jendum Golmei as functional president, and KAVAC village chairman Gongturei Rongmei and Gaidimjang village pastorKagunnai Gangmei as guests of honour.

All the medical staff of Khoupum block, ASHAs under Khoupum block also attended the programme.

As a part of the programme, required family planning, items were distributed to all the ASHAs.

The observance of WPD will continue till July 18 .
