ZRA nabs 'seasoned' drug peddlers

Churachandpur, August 12 2025: In its relentless efforts to combat the drug menace, the Greyhound Force Battalion of the Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) on Tuesday apprehended two individuals engaged in selling illicit drugs in an open market, acting on information received earlier.

The two suspects have been identified as Kaikhosiam Guite of G Bualzang village and Langsuanlal of Lungthul (L), both known to be seasoned drug peddlers in the Suangdoh (E) Division of Churachandpur district.

The seized drugs, which included heroin packed in various containers, along with packets of syringes intended for injection, were consigned to flames by the peddlers themselves in the presence of ZRA officials and local residents.

ZRA sources expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their cooperation in the ongoing campaign against drugs, describing it as a "must-act" mission, stressing that the future depends on saving youth from the drug menace.

It further warned that such'operations will continue in the future.
