Assam Rifles saves 79-year-old man

An urgent medical assistance was provided to a critically ill elderly resident of Long-chin village in Kangpokpi district by the local Assam Rifles unit.
The 79-year-old was brought to the Unit Hospital at Keithelmanbi Garrison in a semi-conscious state after experiencing acute medjcal discomfort since the previous evening.
According to PRO IGAR (S), upon arrival, the patient was promptly attended to by the Assam Rifles medical team, who diagnosed him with Hypoglycaemia and severe Electrolyte imbalance-conditions that posed an immediate threat to life.
With precision and urgency, the medical staff initiated resuscitation and administered essential treatment, successfully stabilising the patient and averting a potentially fatal outcome.
The rapid response and professional care extended by the medical personnel reflect the Force's readiness and capability to serve beyond operational duties, the PRO conveyed, adding, a total of 22 personnel were involved in the coordination and execution of the emergency aid, underscoring the collective effort and compassion that define Assam Rifles ethos.
