Imphal, April 20:
On his arrival from Delhi this afternoon, Chief Minister O Ibobi accompanied by Works Minister K Ranjit and other relevant officials made an inspection tour of the development and beautification works going on in Kangla.
As it is believed that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh may visit the State next month, bitumen laying work of the roads inside Kangla is being taken up on war-footing with the labourers working at night too.

The Chief Minister has also instructed the relevant officials accelerate development works around the Kangla helipad and depressed areas.
He also asked the officials to prepare a blueprint with estimated cost for development of the Kangla western gate in the upcoming meeting of the Kangla Fort Board scheduled for May 2 .
Asking to make proper levelling of the ground around the temple being built over the sacred site of Pakhangba, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to remove the kitchen gardens being prepared by the families of IRB personnel near road sides inside Kangla.
