NRFM claims shooting of Garrich, Jumilia

Imphal, July 16 2025: The armed National Revolutionary Front Manipur (NRFM) claimed responsibility for the shooting on the legs of Garrich and Jumilia for misusing Front's letterhead for monetary collection from public.

According to a statement of NRFM, Reserve Action Force of its armed wing - Manipur Army (MA) have been keeping track of movement of Garrich Singh (26), son of Loken and Sujata of Nagamapal Soram Leirak presently residing in a rented quarter at Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi, and Kumam Jumilia (25), daughter of Sanjit and Sanjita of Moirang Thana Leikai presently residing in a rented house near Hatta oil pump.

The Reserve Action Force of managed to nab both Garrich and Jumilia on July 14 and both confessed to committing the erroneous act during questioning.

As warning, both Garrich and Jumilia were shot on their legs in Sawombung-Phaknung area and set free after agreeing to accept capital punishment if they were found repeating their acts.
