CRPF troopers trained on fire safety

Imphal, July 25 2025: Manipur Fire Service director L Nabachandra and 143 Battalion CRPF commandant Ravinder Sharma on Friday inaugurated a two-day fire safety preparedness training programme at Manipur Fire Service headquarters wherein troops from CRPF's 86, 109 and 143 battalions participated.

In a release, commandant Ravinder Sharma thanked the Fire Service director for imparting training to the troops, stating that the training will enhance awareness regarding fire hazards, and how to mitigate and improve response.

Since substantial number of CRPF personnel are deployed in remote regions familiarisation of the troopers on the basics of fire safety measures and effective response would help control inferno and avert collateral damages as it would not be possible for fire department teams to be present everywhere, the far-flung areas in particular, pointed out the commandant.

He also opined that the training will definitely help the society at large and save many lives, flora and fauna.
