Imphal, July 18 2025: Police on Thursday arrested people illegally selling stamp papers in front of Cheirap Court Complex.

According to police report, the public especially students are facing issues due to illegal sale of stamp papers of Rs 10, Rs 50, Rs 100 and Rs 500 at exorbitant prices by stamp paper sellers operating at the temporary shed nearby the Cheirap Court Complex.

Multiple complaints have been received at Imphal police station that stamp paper of Rs 50 is being sold at Rs 500 .

To address this illegal sale of stamp paper at steep prices, a team of Imphal police station carried out a drive during which the illegal sellers were rounded up and numerous stamp papers seized.
