SIMS offers free education to 100 students

Imphal, July 18 2025:
Saina Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) managing director Dr S Kumar, announced that 100 students selected through an entrance test will be facilitated free education in medical-related courses, including GNM .
Addressing the media at the institute's Yaralpat campus on Thursday, Dr S Kumar said the initiative aims to support meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, orphans, and those passionate about pursuing a career in the medical field.
Students interested in nursing and allied health technician courses are eligible to appear for the entrance test.
He informed that the last date for submission of application forms is July 24, and the entrance-test will be held on July 27 .
Dr S Kumar also highlighted that the institute reserves 10 seats in each batch for orphans.
In light of the ongoihg conflict, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) have been granted a SO percent Concession on admission fees.
Candidates who clear the entrance test will be eligible for full fee waivers.
He further informed that many alumni of the institute are currently employed in hospitals across the country as well as in the UAE .
