Cooperative Walkathon held

Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Imphal organised a Cooperative Walkathon themed 'Achievement of the Ministry of Cooperation' in the surrounding area of the Institute at Lamphelpat on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion; ICM director Khoichung Rangamlian Aimol informed that the existence of Ministry of Cooperation was formalised on July 6, 2021 and has since taken up around 54 programmes under the chairmanship of Amit Shah.
The walkathon was organised with the objective of celebrating the Ministry's four years of success as well as informing the masses on the changes brought by the same.
He informed that ICM under the aegis of Registrar of Cooperative Society, NABARD and MSCB has been conducting training programmes, along with the recent activities related to Fishery Cooperative and Dairy Cooperative, The director also revealed that the foundation stone for a National Cooperative University would soon be laid and that the University would focus on the career and employment opportunities for youth in the cooperative sector.
ICM would also focus on research and project consultancy development, he conveyed.
The walkathon was also attended by ICM former directors, officials, students and trainees.
