Assam Rifles commemorates Kargil Diwas

Imphal, July 25 2025: On the eve of the 26th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Assam Rifles honoured the unparalleled bravery and supreme sacrifices of the Indian armed forces during the 1999 Kargil War with a series of events at Sajik Tampak village in Chandel district.

According to a statement issued by PRO IGAR, the observance featured a flag march led by students, resonating with the spirit of unity and national pride.

Assam Rifles also organised the screening of a compelling documentary on the Kargil conflict, which vividly depicted the courage and determination of the soldiers who fought valiantly, said the PRO, adding that the patriotic event included an engaging session wherein officers of Assam Rifles interacted with young students, sharing valuable insights into the deep patriotism embodied by the armed forces.

The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 50 school students and their teachers.

Assam Rifles remains committed to fostering national pride by honouring the legacy of the Kargil War heroes and inspiring the next generation to serve the nation with similar spirit and unwavering dedication, it said.
