Thoubal, July 24 2025: A one-day consultation on 'Child Rights' was held today at Thoubal Kshetri Sanglen, organised by the Integrated Rural Development Services Organisation (IRDSO) Wangjing.

The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal, Hannah Kamei; Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights, chairperson Keisham Pradip Kumar; State Child Protection Society, programme officer Lisham Mala; Child Welfare Committee Thoubal, chairperson L Romen; ZEO Thoubal, Y Achouba as dais members.

In her address, DC Hannah Kamei emphasized the importance of child rights, particularly for girl children.

She stressed the need for collective responsibility from both the Government and non-Government organisations to ensure safe and inclusive spaces for children to grow and thrive.

Highlighting the need for holistic development, she also appealed to the parents and school teachers to work together in nurturing and protecting every child.

The event was also attended by teachers from various schools, women and child support groups.
