Ricky Laikhuram awarded 5th Robert Memorial Internship

Imphal, July 21 2025: MaolKeki Foundation (MKF) on Monday awarded the 5th Robert Memorial Internship to Ricky Laikhuram, a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science graduate from Manipur Institute of Technology.

The internship, instituted in memory of the late Robert Singh Khwairakpam, was launched in 2021 .

Robert, who passed away due to post-Covid complications, had supported the foundation's data analysis and Management Information Systems initiatives before joining Syngenta Foundation India in early 2021 .

The annual internship is implemented in partnership with Lamzing Technologies Private Limited, a diversified IT development company based in Manipur and Hyderabad.

Ricky, currently interning at Lamzing Technologies, received a certificate from Robert's widow Deepamala Devi Tongbram, and the company's director Ailan Maibam: He was also presented a cash reward by Dr Shachi Gurumayum, a trustee of the foundation.

The award ceremony was attended by Robert's sister Devika Khwairakpam, MKF head of projects Nirupa Sanjenbam, and other members of the foundation.

MaolKeki Foundation is a development-focused organisation working in Manipur, with core programmes in agriculture, healthcare, and livelihoods.

Through its partnerships and initiatives, the foundation aims to catalyse positive change and sustain-able growth in the state.
