Imphal, July 17 2025: Sahitya Akademi and Manipur University Manipuri Department organised literary forum on the topic 'Critical assessment on contemporary Manipuri poetry (2000-2020)' at the department's Kangshang on Thursday.

A release issued by the Manipuri Department, informed that the programme attended by MU vice chancellor Prof N Lokendra Singh as chief guest and Manipuri Department head Prof L Birjita Devi as president, had Sahitya Akademi Manipuri Advisory Board Convenor Prof Rajen Toijamba delivering the introductory speech.

In the academic session moderated by MU School of Humanities former dean Prof N Aruna, Prof W Kumari Chanu, Dr Sanatomba, Dr N Ahanjao, and Dr L Anand presented their papers.
