PMMVY enrolment drive begins in Kakching

Kakching, July 16 2025: Under the supervision of Kakching district administration, special enrolment drive/camp for the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) beneficiaries commenced on Wednesday for the district at Sugnu Bazar and Kakching Khunou.

The drive will continue till July 31 .

Organised by the district programme officer/child development project officer of the ICDS Cell (Kakching), the special enrolment drive/camp is held for identification and registration of PMMVY beneficiaries across the district.

It may be mentioned that, the PMMVY is a centrally sponsored flagship scheme of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, which aims to support pregnant women and lactating mothers.

The scheme is to provide maternity benefits to women belonging to socially and economically weaker sections of the society.
