Tiranga Rakhi-making workshop conducted

Kakching, August 12 2025: A one-day Tiranga Rakhi making workshop for residents of the Senior Citizens Home for Women, Nungourok village in Tengnoupal district was conducted at the Centre for Development Activities (CDAC), Wangjing, on Monday.

The programme organised by District Social Welfare Office, Tengnoupal, under the Department of Social Welfare, and in association with CDAC, was conducted as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

2025 in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, district social welfare officer (DSWO), Tengnoupal, Dangshwa Mathew Maring, highlighted the significance of Celebrating Independence Day while CDAC secretary M Renuka Devi elaborated on the essence of celebrating Raksha Bandhan.

Senior Citizens Home for Women superintendent Apenao Charanga, conducted the workshop and guided the 20 residents in making Tiranga Rakhis.

A rakhi-making competition was also held, and special prizes awarded to the winners.
