AR holds eye camp as Mother's Day gift

Imphal, May 10 2025: As a tribute to Mother's Day and a testament to its ongoing commitment to community welfare, Assam Rifles organised a two-day eye camp at Pallel Garrison in Kakching district.

The camp was conducted to provide quality eye care services to residents of remote and border areas.

A dedicated medical team comprising four civil eye specialists from Imphal, one eye specialist from Assam Rifles, one ARMH specialist and five civil optometrists conducted the camp using advanced tools like Direct and Indirect Ophthalmoscopes, Auto Refractors and Trial Frame Sets.

On May 9, 157 patients received treatment followed by 86 patients on May 10 .

In complementary, a total of 64 free frames along with 50 percent discount on glasses, 50 for civilians and 14 for Assam Rifles personnel and their families, were distributed and several patients were referred for further care.
