AR conducts cleanliness drive, awareness

Imphal, June 25 2025: Assam Rifles conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive, including an awareness lecture on hygiene and sanitation, at H Mongjang village in Tengnoupal district on Tuesday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the campaign also involved extensive fogging and chemical spraying aimed at eliminating mosquito breeding sites and reducing the risk of vector-borne diseases.

The awareness lecture for the villagers covered the importance of personal and environmental cleanliness and focused on topics such as proper waste disposal, clean surroundings and the adoption of healthy hygiene practices to promote a disease free lifestyle.

Over 65 individuals, including locals and Assam Rifles personnel, actively participated in the initiative, said the PRO .
