Governor meets representatives of polo, driver bodies

Imphal, July 04 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Friday met with representatives All Manipur Polo Association and Manipur Drivers' Association at Raj Bhavan, here.

The delegations apprised the Governor of various pressing issues concerning their respective organisations.

According to a press release issued by Governor's secretariat, All Manipur Polo Association conveyed grievances related to the development of polo in the state.

They discussed various challenges and sought support for the promotion of the sport and resolution of pending matters.

The Governor assured them that the government would consider necessary steps to address their concerns.

Members of Manipur Drivers' Association also met the Governor and shared difficulties faced by drivers while transporting essential commodities.

They pointed to poor road conditions, the lack of alternative bypass routes and other related challenges affecting their movement and safety.

The Governor assured the delegation that the government would look into the concerns and take appropriate measures.
