IDP data collection underway; Jul 7 deadline for non-campers

Imphal, July 03 2025:
In an effort to maintain a comprehensive database of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by the ongoing law and order crisis in the state since May 3, 2023, the Home Department has initiated a state-wide data collection exercise.
The initiative is being carried out through a dedicated portal developed by the Information Technology Department.
A notice issued by Imphal East deputy commissioner Dr Nivedita Lairenlakapam, stated that the exercise will cover IDPs residing both in relief camps and at other locations outside the camps.
The notice also mentioned that the district administration is nearing completion of capturing the details of the data of the IDPs currently housed in various relief camps within the district.
The deputy commissioner further informed all the IDPs residing outside relief camps to contact their respective jurisdictional points on or before July 7, 2025 to facilitate data registration.
The designated contact numbers are Porompat Sub-Division: 9362930133, Sawombung Sub-Division: 9862791324 and Keirao-Bitra Sub-Division: 9233287917.The deputy commissioner called for the co-operation of all displaced persons to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
