Imphal, July 24 2025: In a significant step towards empowering the youth of Manipur, Assam Rifles on Wednesday inaugurated the 4th batch of the Skill Development Programme on "Hospitality and Retail Management".

Scheduled to run from July to October 2025, the programme is being conducted in collaboration with the Gaurav Pradhan Foundation, a Delhi-based no governmental organisation.

During the inaugural function held at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, Imphal West district, Assam Rifles officials congratulated the carefully selected participants who underwent a rigorous screening process and encouraged them to fully capitalise on this valuable opportunity.

According to a release issued by HQ IGAR(South), since June 2024, Assam Rifles has successfully conducted three batches of this Skill Development Programme which witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youths.

To date, 148 young individuals have secured employment in esteemed hotels and malls across the Nation.

The remarkable success of these initiatives has generated keen interest among many more youth eager to acquire such valuable soft skills and enhance their employability prospects.

The initiative is anticipated to pave the way for further programmes fostering a culture of skill development and economic resilience across the region.

Participants expressed their gratitude and excitement at being part of this transformative endeavour.
