Kakching Bar Association cautions stamp vendors

Kakching District Bar Association (KDBA) has issued a stern warning that legal action will be initiated against individuals and establishments found selling non-judicial stamps at inflated prices.
In a statement, KDBA expressed concern over reports of non-judicial stamps sold at exorbitant rates at stationeries across the state, creating unnecessary hardship for the public.
It cautioned stamp vendors in Kakching to refrain from charging higher-than-authorised prices for non-judicial stamps.
"Legal action will be initiated against any vendor or stationery shop found involved in such malpractice in Thoubal," the association warned.
The KDBA also stated that any individual or group continuing with such illegal activities must be prepared to take full responsibility for any Untoward consequences that may arise.
