Imphal, May 17 2025: Institution of Engineers (India), Manipur State Centre on Saturday observed World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD), 2025 under the theme "Gender Equality in Digital Transformation" at the Government Polytechnic Campus, Takyel, on Saturday.

Presided over by Centre's chairman L Swamikanta Singh, the program was attended by Government Polytechnic, Imphal principal L Shamungou Singh as chief guest.

NIELIT, Imphal retired senior technical officer RK Naojinglen Meitei illustrated the theme, FIE immediate past chairman W Homendro Singh and AMIE joint honorary secretary delivered the welcome address, and MIE honorary secretary Dr Th Subhaschandra Singh offered the vote of thanks.

The event highlighted the importance of inclusive digital development and concluded with light refreshments and networking.
